About The Company:-This location produces bags of cement mixes for concrete, gravel, and sandbags sold at Lowes.-They are looking for a machine operator to join their team. This person will run the machine that fills the bags of cement mix.-Will set up the machine based on the product mix required.-Place empty bags over the fill spout until the bag is full which will automatically drop to a conveyor system.-Be transported to the palletizing machine.-This is a very repetitive job and can be physical at times if the bags need to be lifted manually.-Machine operators will wear a full-face respirator for protection.Pay Rate :$22.00 To $26.00 an Hour depending on experience and interviewJob Duties:
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates
Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements
Performs routine machine maintenance
Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
Shift Time and Dates: Monday -Friday 11:00am To 9:30Pm (There will be Overtime Available)Work Environment:-Small dusty shop with 5 people in production.-Lots of conveyor systems, a dryer/tumbler, tall silos that store the material, bagging machines, stacking/palletizing machines.Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
Lift up to 100 lbs.
