Blood Processing Technologists perform basic through advanced manufacturing, processing and test procedures on blood products. Blood Processing Technologists also interpret test results before releasing blood to area hospitals. All tasks are performed in highly regulated environment. Operate, maintain and perform quality control checks on equipment. Ensure adequate inventory of required supplies

Maintain, edit and review computer and manual records to assure accurate record keeping

Perform the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products. Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution and are managed appropriately

Be detail oriented all day, every day, to ensure that the blood you process meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.

Remain flexible to work a variable schedule that includes weekends & holidays to meet the needs of our hospitals

Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times

Ability to stand, stretch, stoop and bend for extended time periods, and ability to lift, pull, push and move objects up to 50 pounds.

The job may require work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
