There's room to grow as a budding entrepreneur. We are looking for a experienced Sr. Business Analyst to support a 1+ year engagement with our Vancouver-area utilities client. The work is a project to support Client in moving ahead a project for its transmission business to create a portfolio optimization tool to manage millions in construction projects. The work will start as fully remote but the expectation is to be onsite in Vancouver 2-3 times a week beginning in the fall. The right candidate will have the following skillset:

What you will need:

10+ years experience
Proven experience in a Business Analyst role
Heavy stakeholder engagement experience
Discover the underlying business need to be addressed and information related to the project requirements through stakeholders.
Validate and verify requirements to ensure requirements map to business need, and are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards.
Ability to independently lead and conduct business process analysis, gap analysis, process optimization, and process risk assessment.
Document, present information, and lead discussions related to process flows, high-level business requirements, detailed functional requirements, use cases, data flows.
Experience in a structured IT PMO
Experience in IT System Life Cycle (SLC)
Project Management familiarity
Bonus: Utilities experience
