What We'll Bring:TransUnion Global Fraud Solutions delivers industry leading capabilities in identity validation and digital insights to help our customers fight fraud and streamline trusted consumer experiences. We are embarking on another step in our journey with a multi-year Fraud Platform Modernization program. This program will include development of a new global fraud platform along with modernization of our existing fraud point solutions.This DevOps Engineer position will work with our data services and reporting teams to manage and modernize our new Fraud Platform's analytics capabilities. The mission of our teams is to build and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable platforms that contribute to our leading intelligent fraud prevention solutions and provide internal teams with the insight they need. We process 30+ million transactions a day through our data pipeline and manage many disparate methods of data collection and transformation to populate local and cloud-based data warehouses.Come be a part of our team - you'll work with great people, pioneering products and cutting-edge technology.What You'll Bring:What You'll Bring:- Experience monitoring large distributed systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka, Elastic Stack)
- Proficiency with UNIX development (Centos, OSX, Bash, Maven, Git)
- Use a collaborative and cross-functional team approach to help develop high throughput, highly available, horizontally scalable services
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, proactively recommend solutions, and solve complex problems
- Championing DevOps and Quality best practices
- Experience building and maintaining software development pipelines
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or another containerization technology
- Learn, support, and improve our foundational technologies and abstractions (including databases, load balancers, monitoring, reporting, etc.)
- Be vigilant and aware of new security threats. Recommend and implement new security technologies and policies.
- 3+ years of experience working in DevOps
- In the first 90 days - research and become familiar with existing technologies and architecture standards , participate in agile team planning and SAFe ceremonies , and understand our CI/CD pipeline
- Beyond 90 days - Collaborate with other engineers to improve the fraud detection platform, troubleshoot customer issues and grow understand ing of how our custo mers use our product, con tribute to the continuous delivery pipeline , and expand knowledge of our systems and how to manage them more effectively
