Title: User Experience DesignerLocation: REMOTE/Portland, OR Type: 6-month contract with potential extensionsRemote role to start and once environment changes, candidate will be located in the Portland office.The User Experience Designer is a creative thinker and a self-motivated team player, all rolled into one. These Designers use creative problem-solving, research skills and visual prototyping to continually challenge the team to think beyond the expected, and ship high-quality experiences our customers will love.This person will work to create cohesive and scalable experiences, helping our users go from planning to design & manufacturing. The role will require top-notch design skills with an eye toward quality and detail. This designer will work as a creative partner with senior level designers, ensuring that workflows, and interaction designs adhere to existing design patterns.Responsibilities-Work with senior design partners to create high-quality experiences.-Construct compelling artifacts (wireframes, conceptual diagrams, task flows, storyboards, etc.) that outline present conditions and proposed solutions to gain alignment with stakeholders.-Meet with customers and development partners to validate designs and make iterative improvements.-Partner with development teams, design, and software architects as well as business leaders to drive successful implementation of great experiences in our software and services, using Agile development methods and usability/learnability evaluation methods-Participate in design-thinking exercises to collaboratively solve complex design challengesMinimum Qualifications-Ability to demonstrate design thinking and iteration from concept to delivery.-Ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes, storyboards, mock-ups and conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagrams.-Experience collaborating with designers and researchers to iterate on and validate design solutions.-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence
