Project Scope:

Our client has an immediate need for a VMware/Windows Administrator with the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:

  • Support and upgrade of client and client infrastructure including installation, upgrades, and maintenance of OGO and client Windows servers, Citrix, VMware, networks, security devices and other key infrastructure.
  • Manage network area storage and allocations based on client growth.
  • Manage Microsoft and other vendor licensing as required to support client growth or business needs.
  • Work directly with "C" level resources at our client credit unions across the country to clarify requirements and deliver solutions or fix problems.
  • Lead the onboarding for new clients and ensuring critical information is gathered to be able to configure systems for high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate hardware, software, and Microsoft issues as they arise, working with customers if required.
  • Develop best practices, and procedures to support an efficient and effective deployment and support process.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on best practices.
  • Perform in annual client disaster recovery tests leveraging Storage Craft and Zerto.
  • In the event of a disaster or production down even, is responsible to respond and contribute to the resolution of the operational disaster.
  • This position may involve working extended hours, or shifting schedules to accommodate required work, and the employee to be flexible with schedule.
  • Willingness to share paid on-call rotation with other engineering team members.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years information technology experience VMware and Windows administration.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes such as incident, change, problem and change management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A solid team player who can work individually as well as collaboratively.
  • Effective and clear communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner with confidence to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, a can-do attitude and motivated to succeed and grow.
