Thanks for reading my ad. This is not your typical caregiving gig :) I'm looking to add energetic, flexible, and reliable personal assistants and caregivers to my team. Help needed is for myself in my 30's - seeking part-time hands-on care.
You will be assisting a disabled professional maintain optimal health and act as the extensions for an independent life. That translates to providing hands-on care and ADLs (dressing, hygiene, all the things you would do for yourself) while assisting with self-care, occasional driving, pet care, administrative, cooking, and more. I work 50-60 hours per week and need awesome people by my side. Occasional travel, concerts, and events if you'd like to join.
Historically, the best fits have been folks who exhibit any of the following:
Love animals
Vibe with the principles of disability justice, interdependence, and disabled joy
Are comfortable with single -person transfers
Enjoy doing hair and make-up
Don't identify as a career caregiver - Bring on the artists, musicians, students
Understand and respect food allergies or are willing to learn
Are either in or interested in nursing, respiratory, or a related program (I can schedule around your class schedule)
Have a good sense of humor
Early morning, evening, weekend shifts available. Flexible days and hours for the right fit. $20/hour.
