All Star Labor and Staffing is hiring multiple positions for an Autobody Company in the Portland/ Vancouver area.

Mechanical Technician -$26/hour

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our busy and reputable auto body shop. This role is essential in ensuring that vehicles are safely and accurately repaired after collision damage.

Responsibilities:

-Perform mechanical repairs related to collision damage (suspension, steering, brakes, cooling systems, etc.)

-Remove, replace, and reinstall mechanical components during the body repair process

-Diagnose mechanical issues caused by impact or structural damage

-Complete alignments, suspension adjustments, and safety inspections

-Use diagnostic equipment and follow OEM repair procedures

-Document repair findings and communicate additional damage as needed

-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

-Work collaboratively with body technicians, estimators, and production staff

Qualifications:

-1–3+ years of automotive mechanical repair experience (body shop experience preferred)

-Strong understanding of suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain systems

-Ability to use diagnostic tools, alignment machines, and standard shop equipment

-Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures

-Valid driver’s license required

-ASE or I-CAR certifications are a plus, but not required

Body Prep Technician -$27/hour

The Body Prep Technician is responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for paint by performing sanding, masking, priming, and repair prep work. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality paint finishes and smooth workflow in the body shop.

Responsibilities:

-Perform sanding, masking, and surface preparation for paint

-Prep panels, bumpers, and body parts for primer and final paint

-Repair minor imperfections including scratches, dents, and filler preparation

-Clean, degrease, and inspect surfaces for flaws

-Assist painters by staging parts and maintaining prep workflow

-Maintain a clean and organized prep area

-Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE

-Work efficiently to meet production deadlines

Qualifications:

-1+ year of experience in auto body prep or related field preferred

-Knowledge of sanding, masking, and basic body repair techniques

-Ability to identify surface defects and prep to paint-ready standard

-Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

-Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods

-Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Paint Assistant -$26/hour

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Paint Assistant to support our body shop paint department. This role plays a key part in preparing vehicles for high-quality paint work and ensuring an efficient workflow in the shop.

Responsibilities:

-prepare vehicles and parts for painting (masking, sanding, cleaning, surface prep).

-Assist the painter with mixing paints, primers, and coatings.

-Move vehicles and parts in and out of the paint booth.

-Maintain clean and organized paint department, tools, and equipment.

-inspect surfaces and report imperfections before painting.

-Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE.

-Perform additional shop support tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

-Experience in auto body, paint prep, or a related field preferred.

-Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

-Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
