Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, edging, blowing, trimming, pruning, planting, weed removal, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking.
Must have at least 3 years of Landscape maintenance experience and know how to operate all equipment listed in job description.
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle.
Job Duties
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruners, saws.
Operate powered equipment, such as mowers, edger, blowers, trimmers, chain-saws.
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or trimmers.
Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or
automatic sprayers or spreaders.
Care for established lawns by thatching, aerating, weeding, edging.
Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.
Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring.
Advise customers on plant selection or care.
Install and spread bark dust or mulch using gardening tools and wheel barrows
Gather and remove litter from commercial projects
