Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess some experience in dependency, and immigration laws, but we are willing to train. This role requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of our clients.
Responsibilities
Represent clients through all phases of dependency litigation, from shelter-care hearing until reunification, or termination of parental rights, as the case may be.
Represent clients with immigration matters before the USCIS, including but not limited to immigrant, and non-immigrant visa applications, and asylum application.
Attend court hearings and represent clients in various legal proceedings as required.
Communcation, and collaboration with DCFY to ensure efficient, and expedient case resolution.
Skills
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, and Lexis+
Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
Ability to effectively litigate cases and represent clients in court.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
