Litigation Assistant

Salary: $55K-$64K DOE

What Matters Most:

4-10+ years of litigation support experience

Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management programs required

Experience with e-filing and docketing required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred

Your New Role:

One of Portlands fastest-growing boutique firms is adding to staff! This litigation team is seeking your motivated attitude, experience with litigation support, and professionalism as their new Litigation Assistant. This is a chance to further develop your knowledge across several practice areas and jurisdictions. The attorneys and staff youll be working with are passionate about their work and want an engaged team player who takes responsibility for cases. Its a firm where youll be trusted to produce high-quality work on a variety of interesting cases involving insurance, environmental issues, real estate, IP, securities, finance, and a small amount of criminal work. No micromanaging here! Theyll use your expertise to file in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, complete scheduling and docketing, plan litigation timelines, and help draft, format, and finalize documents. As you progress in this role, youll be challenged and perhaps take on some billable work. A humble attitude to go along with your excellence is key, as youll tackle any administrative duties and filing tasks that need to be done. Collectively, this team is responsive, open, smart, and even-keeled, and they appreciate and respect their assistants “ one assistant was recently promoted!
