Our data scope is enormous and includes medical, dental and pharmacy claims, web utilization behavior, provider information, and data from numerous other sources. We are seeking an individual who can apply analytic solutions to a diverse array of big data problems efficiently and effectively. Bring your analytical expertise to this role in which you will:- Perform intake and processing of customer data during implementation following established procedures
- Perform data mapping and standardization while maintaining data integrity
- Develop processes and analysis that will improve existing products and drive future products
- Develop data fixes, configuration, and ad hoc reports
- Provide data support for internal and external customers
- Whole-brain thinking: Possessing the ability to think creatively and demonstrate analytical skills, analyzing complex situations both alone and as part of a team, learning quickly and synthesizing solutions, options and action plans.
- Industry knowledge: experience or familiarity with healthcare claims data and/or clinical data, understanding industry terminology (e.g. procedure codes, allowed amounts, negotiated rates, facility vs professional charges, service types)
- Experience with tools for data mining, statistics, analysis, and scripting (e.g. R, Python, Scala, MATLAB, Ruby).
- Demonstrated experience creating complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad hoc data mining purposes, analyze large amounts of data, interpret qualitative data (research, feedback) and incorporate into analyses.
- Strong oral and written communication skills: Ability to present complex data, analysis or findings to teams in a way that is clear and understandable and supports the overall business decisions and program efforts.
- Ability to develop and produce accurate, error free final deliverables and to participate in and support a peer review culture.
- Experience with data visualization tools and developing reports to meet a business need (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
- Must be able to work with minimal direction and be flexible to assist in coordinating complex activities that are often subject to rapid or extensive changes
- Prior experience with projects supporting government mandates a plus
- Prior experience with project management a plus
- Knowledge of program evaluation concepts and methodologies
- Ability to work independently on complex projects
- Proven track record of learning and applying new technologies quickly
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
