We're currently searching for a Magento 2 Developer with User Experience (UX) knowledge to join our team. With three high-volume eCommerce websites currently built on Magento 1.9x and Zen Cart, we're looking to update each of these platforms to v2 plus improve our user experience along the way. This is an ongoing project and process and our select candidate will be working alongside our other Sr. Developers, now of five years.We have an immediate need for someone with the skill set below.

Primary Requirements:
  • You are looking for a chance to create/improve engaging and interactive e-commerce.
  • You love building both back-end and front-end code for new or existing web applications
  • You love working with web-based services and APIs to bridge communication and extend features from other applications or services
  • You want to participate in project planning and design review.
  • You always look for ways to increase your knowledge and find things to be passionate about
  • You enjoy problem solving and look forward to evolving challenge.

Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of general PHP development.
  • At least three years Magento 1.9 and 2 experience.
  • At least three years working knowledge of MySQL-based data concepts
  • Experience theming/styling with HTML5, JQUERY, CSS3, for as long as you remember.
  • Knowledge and/or Expertise in UX as it pertains to eCommerce
  • Experience in working with API

Proven Skills & Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency with PHP frameworks such as Zend framework
  • Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships
  • Proficiency with PHP, JAVASCRIPT, and MySQL
  • Proven experience with the Magento and 3rd Party APIs
  • Unit testing/API testing experience
  • Experience optimizing and refactoring application code
  • Experience optimizing web server configurations and scaling web applications

What's really required:
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Deep working knowledge of Magento platforms of any flavor.
  • An understanding that all efforts, decisions, and solutions will have a direct impact on the customer experience . The individual filling this position will own, in part, the experience of our users and customers.
  • Some knowledge of Zen Cart and other eCommerce platforms (more is better.)
  • API of all flavors
  • Zend/PHP chops and a willingness to show them off
  • Genuine interest in a job done well
  • Being a completionist; a job isn't done until it's done right.
