Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Portland, OR.

About This Role: Build complex, large-scale client applications and large distributed systems that collect, aggregate, transform and distribute data for further analysis. Some roles develop components that run on PCs or mobile devices and collect large volumes of user behavioral data through reverse engineering. More senior roles design, coordinate and implement product development initiatives, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the designs and development of world-class system capability. May serve as technical consultant to other teams.

What You'll Do:
  • Autonomously initiates, designs, manages entire projects (small to medium sized)
  • Develops high-performance fault-tolerant code
  • Formulates project plan and allocates work as appropriate
  • Works with cross-functional teams to implement QA methods; troubleshoots and solves coding problems
  • Manages resources
  • Owns an area of the application; serves as architect of assigned area, makes technical decisions and chooses approach; answers questions for designated area

What You'll Need:
  • 3-7 years' experience coding and large data sets
  • 1-2 years' experience managing projects
  • 1-2 years' experience with Comscores offerings and research methods, and/or comparable experience in market research
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Strong analytical bend, able dive into the data, analyze large data sets; recognize patterns
  • Ability to influence and impact others
  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • High levels of responsibility, strong, organizational skills, proactive
  • Ability to train and mentor others
  • Strong Communication skills
