We are looking for a WMS Specialist to provide Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation and post implementation support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):
Work with internal teams and external consulting partners to implement and support WMS.
Work closely with warehouse management staff to understand business process, technical challenges and
align with external partners to ensure optimal solution is implemented.
Monitor, analyze, communicate, collaborate and escalate to resolve incidents and requests submitted via
email, phone, ticket queues and in person.
Identify, propose and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
Administer software application training and maintain user training materials.
Lead and mentor team members and business users on proven process and system improvements.
Collaborate with technical team members to plan and coordinate system changes.
Lead new projects.
Develop and maintain knowledgebase articles.
Application and Integration testing, certification and quality assurance.
Administer User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Support all system and technical equipment used to fulfill shipments.
Execute tasks to evaluate and resolve trouble tickets, issues and incidents.
After-hours support on business-critical items.
Travel when required.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems or Engineering or equivalent logistics and supply chain
experience.
Minimum 7 years industry experience in IT or supply chain with technology implementation and process re-
engineering.
3 years of experience with implementation, execution and support of warehouse management systems
(WMS).
Must have led at least one full WMS implementation from design through go-live.
Experience supporting multiple distribution centers from a technical system and business process
perspective.
Experience with Supply Chain Management services for distribution and manufacturing of consumer goods.
Proficient in MSSQL.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Experience with developing training material and conducting end user training.
Experienced in the configuration and execution of User operating devices like RF, label and forms printers,
work stations, and tablets.
Proven experience in data integration solutions with 3rd party products.
The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for WMS in the consumer goods industry who is
familiar with both system and business processes, have both software configuration and warehouse process
experience.
