Primary Purpose of Position:
Responsible for the general repairs and maintenance of custom machinery and mechanical equipment as well as fabrication of new custom equipment. Works with engineering to analyze methods and manufacturing process problems to determine root cause and corrective actions. Performs work on gearboxes, rigging, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, screw compressors, vacuum pumps, fluid pumps, autoclaves, ovens, electrical troubleshooting, digital and analog instrumentation, and controls. Fabrication responsibilities include fabrication, design input, assembly, welding (TIG/MIG/Arc), hydraulic, pneumatic & controls of specialized equipment. Additional work lighting systems, HVAC unit freezers and light carpentry, machining, and machine building.
