As the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, the ideal individual will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company. Oversee the financial activities, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries and create forecasts predicting future growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees operations of Accounting department, budget preparation and audit functions.

Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.

Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports and governmental agency reports. Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Oversees the production of the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

Review customer contracts, work with customer on contract negotiations.

Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing or elimination.

Works with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.

Works with bankers to maintain capital required for expansion.

Education/Experience:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required. Masters Degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Managerial Accountant designation preferred.

At least 5 years or more in related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Ability to travel as needed.

Background check is required.
