The role: Do you have experience in procurement, including development, negotiation, execution and administration of contracts? Join our team of experienced contract coordinators in our Roseburg office!

As the successful candidate, you will draft, edit, develop and deliver goods, trade service, public works/public improvement, personal and professional services, architectural and engineering, and non-architectural and engineering contracts.

A day in the life:

Coordinate all phases of contractor selection process.

Independently develop, negotiate, execute, and administer unique, complex, high-risk, legally binding contracts.

Analyze procurement requests/requisitions.

Develop strategies to minimize potential risks.

Develop statutorily defined emergency contracts and full-delegated class of contracts.

Modify contract terms and conditions.

Understand, recommend, and apply the appropriate method of solicitation.

Prepare, issue, and monitor solicitations.

Plan and coordinate pre-bid and pre-proposal conferences.

Examine and evaluate solicitation responses and ensure successful completion of the contractor selection process.

Work with highly visible and sensitive projects, short deadlines and realigned priorities.

Work with challenging business partners occasionally.

What we need:

Six (6) years of experience negotiating, developing, administering and evaluating public or private service contracts or agreements.

Three (3) of the six (6) years must have included deciding and writing specifications for the purchase of goods and services or developing and administering contracts.

A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a related degree that included course work in general business management, contract or business law, accounting, finance or economics can substitute for three (3) years of experience.

You will be required to use a vehicle to conduct business; you must possess and maintain a current, valid driver license and acceptable driving record.

Experience in using, or responding to, request for proposals and invitations to bid.

Experience interpreting and applying statutes, rules, and policies.

Experience administering, evaluating, and negotiating public or private service contracts or agreements.

Analytical and technical writing skills (e.g., the ability to research, analyze and synthesize data and information into concise, easily understood written documents.

Ability to communicate expertly with a variety of audiences.

Describe your experience preparing and conducting solicitations, negotiating contracts or grants with vendors or providers on behalf of an organization for which you provided procurement services. Please include where you gained this experience, and the types of contracts or grants you worked with, include a brief description of your duties or responsibilities.

Describe your experience providing technical assistance by interpreting and clarifying contract and solicitation rules and guidelines ensuring contracts are in compliance with federal and state laws, provide examples.

Describe your knowledge and experience with public or private procurement business practices for contracting (e.g., evaluating proposals, negotiating, quality control/assurance, obtaining approvals, post-award contract administration, record retention and archiving). Be sure to identify the employer(s) and length of time spent performing these duties, as listed in your application.

Describe your experience communicating and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences in various settings, including in person, in writing, via presentations, and in collaborative document development.
