Join a family-owned business located in Roseburg who specializes in delivering quality, custom fabrications on short lead times. Their dedicated, experienced, hardworking, and flexible staff continually exceeds their customers' requirements on challenging jobs with demanding schedules. A CNC Operator is responsible for setup, operation, loading and unloading an ARC PRO 12000 5'x10' plasma table.
Ideal candidates have the following skills and experience:
High school diploma or GED
Experience with metalworking machines (shear, brakes, punches, drills, mills, etc.)
Ability to interpret and understand simple and complex part drawings and blueprints
Very proficient at performing oxy/fuel flame and plasma cutting, part layout, inspection, hole drilling, and punching to include an understanding of speed and feed rates
Completion of a welding program or 1 year of relevant welding experience
Proficiency with RHINO for Windows and working knowledge of Flamingo, Brazil, Penguin, and Bongo
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, scales, protractors, compass, height gage, dial indicators, etc.
Experience with using machine control codes, computers, part nesting, DNC links, and file transfers to produce parts
Experience with utilizing machine control capabilities to make simple part programs, prove out programs, and edit programs as a normal part of the setup and operation of the CNC machine and related equipment
Ability to perform multiple activities simultaneously, organize work, and take corrective action in response to error messages and/or process interruptions
Ability to diagnose machine problems and perform normal operator maintenance
Ability to consistently meet production standards
Must be self-starter with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong knowledge of mathematics, including geometry
Knowledge of metal types and characteristics
Understanding of the part use, fit, and function as well as manufacturing processes
Experience working with computers and machine controls
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Ability to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust, and noise
Business open 7 days a week - must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Works under minimal supervision
This is a full-time position located in Roseburg, OR with a wage of $19-22 per hour, depending on experience. Pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.
