West Salem Optima Dental Spa is looking to hire a P/T Dental Hygienist to their friendly team! Dental hygienist asses the patient needs and plans/delivers direct dental care. We are an established practice that thrives in a fun, motivated and encouraging environment. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible care to our patients and looking to hire a long-term addition to join our amazing team. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is outgoing with impressive communication skills, organized, professional, service minded and willing to go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of the job. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be our dental health educators for our patients, and will be utilizing your knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat. You will work with both the dentist and patient to resolve any active diseases including caries or periodontal disease.

What Makes You Stand Out?
Experienced with N2O and restorations is a plus
Someone who is a registered Dental Hygienist and has an active state license
Current certification in CPR
Working knowledge of Eaglesoft practice management software
Strong set of oral, verbal, and written communication skills
Effectively work in a team-base environment and maintain positive relationships with staff and patients
Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA, state health administration and HIPAA regulations
Someone personable, motivated with top notch customer service skills
Spend Your Day:
Providing patient education related to oral hygiene
Reinforcing treatment plan needs for patient
Participating in the dental treatment of patients by performing dental prophylaxis, root planning, sealants placement, application of topical fluorides, examination of teeth
Preform charting on patient needs; presenting problems, pernio and tooth charting and reviewing health history each visit
Posting completed procedures in dental software program
Cleaning hygiene room, sterilizing instruments, and preparing hygiene room for patients
Attending office training and meetings as needed
Assist other team members as time allows
Part-time 2 days/week
