Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for 3 forklift drivers for a cold storage company in Brooks AND Salem, OR. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of consistent forklift driving experience and thrives in a team environment. This is an evaluation to hire position with the opportunity to be long term if you are a good fit!
JOB SUMMARY:
Unloads and loads customer product, scans product, and places it correctly in warehouse. Maintains a safe and clean work area.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities.
Load and unload trucks and railcars. Move product onto pallet in correct position.
Scan product and move to loading area. Check for accuracy and placement.
Direct product to correct area in warehouse.
Pack product using shrink-wrap. Attach correct labels to product.
Move product safely using forklift, pallet jack or dock loader. Follow instructions for operating equipment.
Clear work area of loose wood and plastic. Sweep work area as needed.
Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
Inventory product as needed. Label, sort, wrap and tie product.
Other duties as requested.
Minimum qualifications:
3+ years consistent forklift experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
Great work ethic and a team player
Ability to commit to every shift and have perfect attendance during evaluation period
Previous warehouse experience
Shift: M-F 3:30pm-12am
Pay: $14.00/hour
Must have reliable transportation to Brooks and be able to commit to every shift!
