Local full service property management firm seeking full time maintenance personnel. Our goal is to have staff who are committed to maintaining high-end commercial and residential communities in first class condition with professional service. The primary range of maintenance skills required/desirable include: painting (rolling/brushing and less frequently spraying), drywall fixes (hang, patch, tape/mud, texture, prime), minor cabinet work (install cabinet doors, hinges, staining), emergency water leak response (demolition, fans, dehumidifiers, etc.) and other emergency response, minor electrical (installing outlets/switches/lights), door / trim / casework (install doors, closet doors, trim, and repairs), minor plumbing (installing sinks/toilets/unplug clogs, caulking), minor appliance repairs, installing blinds/drapes, landscaping supplementation (we have landscape contractors), and working with contractors on those tasks outside the scope. Use of personal equipment/tools and vehicle is required/helpful, but we do have equipment and tools in the van and storage rooms. The Full Time Handyman will have on-call emergency responsibilities and need to handle important after-hours calls.
Personnel will also assist with showing units, tenant repair requests, tenant complaints, service of notices, photos of properties, relaying information to the office, etc. Most paperwork is handled at the main office.
Compensation varies based on skill and experience level. The basic wage is $18 per hour. Full time employees are eligible for employee only health insurance (paid 75% by employer). Employees are also eligible for employer paid 6% retirement contributions. We also have a Cafeteria Plan to pay for qualified out of pocket medical costs with pre-tax dollars. Paid time off accrues at a rate of two weeks per year.
