HIRING A PURCHASING ASSISTANT IN MT. ANGEL! In business since 1974, a private label and custom manufacturer of superior quality nutritional supplements is looking to hire a FULL TIME LONG TERM Purchasing Assistant! Location: Mt. Angel Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm OR 8am to 5pm Pay: $20/hr DOE Position Overview: The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for the oversight of the purchasing department. They will be able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal customers. Will be capable of understanding variances in raw materials and able to source the materials necessary while being cost conscious. Job Description:Will be responsible for purchasing a variety of products, from raw materials to packaging.Main responsibilities will be in purchasing and vendor follow up.Will not be responsible for sourcing or quoting.Will communicate with national and international vendors and with many internal departments.Will be able to face challenges of products being very complex and with many variations.Will use critical thinking skills to understand when a product should or should not be purchased based on quantity, specs, etc.Be responsible for gathering and keeping spec sheets.
