Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

Sunrise System Inc. is currently looking for

• The main function of a Claims Adjuster is to investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of insurance company's liability to determine how much compensation is needed/required.

• Analyze first reports to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of damage; promptly contact insureds.
• Inspect and document damage.
• Meet with insured or their representative, promptly and properly develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain an active diary; monitor diary to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claim.
• Recognize and pursue recovery where possible.
• Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers

• Experience Worker Compensation, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service orientation
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Excel (data entry, simple formulas) Outlook (need the ability to respond to customer service inquiries with professionalism)
• The ability to learn two proprietary platform claim system.
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience with outbound/inbound calls

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree
• 2-4 years of Workers Comp/Indemnity experience required.
• Workers Compensation experience in the following jurisdictions: Oregon, CA, Washington and CO
