Software Quality Engineer

Job Description

• Software Quality Engineer performs work that encompasses all aspects of embedded software development (C), including application design, user interface design, device drivers, communications, board support package, and build system.

• Maintain and meet quality assurance by AS9100, AS9115A, (ISO) 9001.
• The client's designated Software Quality Engineer (SQE) for this project shall audit the project regularly, no less frequently than once per calendar month.
• Client SQE activities will include audits of peer reviews, configuration management, witnessing tests, and review of deliverables to Customers.
• At the Customer's request, the Client shall provide the Customer with QE records.
• Software Quality Engineer will work with Customer to schedule and support quality audits at Client's facilities.
• SQE to review and audit based on criteria identified within Customer quality standards and Client's approved quality standards and procedures.
• The frequency of the audits shall assure development and verification work complies with the applicable Software Development Plan, the applicable Software Verification Plan, and this SOW.
• Audits shall include SQE checklists.
• Client SQE may use their checklists. Work with the Customer SQE to correct the deficiencies.
• Client SQE activities will include, but not be limited to, participating in at least 10% of peer reviews, audits of peer reviews, configuration management, development process, verification, and testing process,
• and review of deliverables to (excluding weekly and monthly reports and coordination memos) to Customer.
• Client SQE shall also witness verification and testing and assure the test environment is documented accurately.
• Client SQE shall provide to the Customer SQE a Software Quality Assurance report once every calendar month.

• Summary of audit activity during the previous month.
• Audit findings, due dates, and follow-up action.
• Audit activity planned for the next month.
• Concerns that might need feedback from the Customer SQE.
• Problems that you want to bring to the attention of the Customer SQE.
• At Customer request, the Client shall provide the Customer SQE with audit records.
• Monitor and perform contract review to ensure compliance to Customer' requirements and precedence of documentation outlined in this or other agreements between Customer and Client.

• A BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience are required.
• Software Quality Engineer applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
