Global Strategic Finance is looking for a Finance Director to join our team. This candidate will be a leader on the team who will drive strategic and financial analyses that provides actionable insight to Nike, Inc. The ideal team member must be comfortable with ambiguity, act quickly, and get results to be successful. Additionally, a strategic mentality and superb analytical skills are required, as is the ability to build trust with cross-functional business partners and interact with executive leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Represent the Global Strategic Finance team on cross-functional workstreams focused on accelerating Nike's long-term enterprise strategy and driving growth. You will work with a wide-range of business partners to help drive the understanding of potential value built through long-term strategic opportunities, marketplace initiatives, and/or new businesses. You will be responsible for delivering broad insights and thorough analysis that can shape the business strategy and quantify financial impact, and for communicating this information to stakeholders and leadership. This role will blend strategic and quantitative analyses with financial acumen to influence decision-making.

The candidate will also work on and lead ad-hoc projects. For these projects, you will scope the work, drive the financial and strategic analysis, and communicate findings / insights with key stakeholders.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead financial and strategic analysis for enterprise-wide teams; be an inspiring leader with a deep understanding of Nike's financial statements and strategic priorities
  • Leverage external perspectives and shareholder insights to inform long-term strategic opportunities and financial analyses
  • Create outstanding processes to better evaluate, forecast and plan investments
  • Build and understand business cases as it relates to growth opportunities for Nike
  • Communicate business case and financial impact of growth opportunities to senior leaders
  • Identify marketplace risks & opportunities; lead cross-functional teams in mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Every day you will be working across the Nike matrix and work closely with our Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, One Nike Marketplace Channel teams, Geo leaders, Investor Relations, and Cross-Functional Finance teams to analyze, evaluate and execute upon long-term value creation opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 7+ years of finance experience or related analytical field
  • Experienced with financial/business analysis and valuation techniques
  • Development of long and short-term financial plans
  • Strong problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Skilled at creating and maintaining business relationships with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced with speaking publicly to and influencing senior leadership
  • Superb Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Proven ability to handle several projects at once and operate with a high degree of ambiguity while driving clarity and results
  • Possess a diverse and inclusive mentality
  • Deep understanding of the athletic footwear and apparel industry
  • Strong passion for Nike
