Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Professional Registered Nurse functions within the Professional Nursing Law, according to professional standards, and his/her level of knowledge and experience. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients (or patient) for a designated time frame by prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care. The Professional Registered Nurse provides care to the patient population of a specified clinical unit.

Qualifications

Per Diem 36 Hours/ SIX Weeks - Nights

Education: BSN strongly preferred.

Experience: previous RN experience preferred

Licensure, Certification & Registration Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or Graduate Nurse. Maintains current licensure.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Certification in clinical practice area preferred.
  • Membership in Professional Organization encouraged.
  • RN's with under one year of experience will be automatically enrolled into the Nurse Residency Program
  • Candidates who do not have a BSN will be required to enroll and obtain one within two years of offer.
