What will you do?The Senior Manager, Packaging and Labeling is responsible for the daily oversight of clinical products processed through primary and secondary packaging operations. This role requires attention to details, the ability to work well with all levels of the organization, the desire to provide hands-on coaching and mentoring of staff, ability to communicate both verbally and written, and collaborate with cross-functional groups. In this position you will be responsible for workflow with an eye toward enhancing productivity, efficiency, and quality through ongoing review of data and metrics as well as use of PPI in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Manager will maintain awareness of business results and financial results and ensure alignment with division goals.How will you get here?EducationBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-15 years in a regulated environment (relevant cGXP industry such as Clinical Packaging, Commercial Pharmaceutical, Devices, etc.)ResponsibilitiesApplies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

Responsible for supervising the entire primary and/or secondary operation within clinical packaging.
Responsible for the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and packaging operations.
Responsible for ensuring training and adherence by all packaging associates for all cGMP and SOP guidelines as well as ensuring quality guidelines and timelines are met.
Responsible for adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for product quality standards and SQIPP (Safety, Quality, Identity, Potency, and Purity) of the product.
Analyzes and monitors production to detect safety, quality, and productivity problems and trends. Creates effective actions to resolve them.
Resolves and leads the labor and resources to meet production targets with consideration of client timelines, cost effectiveness, and workforce scheduling.
Leads or supports decisions about equipment utilization and overall maintenance.
Monitors and reviews performance of personnel and ensure necessary actions are taken to ensure development and improvement.
Resolves and implements improvements to the production process by participating and actively encouraging Continuous Improvement through Thermo Fisher’s Practical Process Improvement (PPI) business model.
Ensures effective cross-functional participation and collaboration with other relevant departments (e.g. Quality, Client Services, Facilities, etc.).
Acts as an effective Change Leader, supporting continuous improvement in the department.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of business.

Vision requirements for this position: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or fewer), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three dimensional vision) and the ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment Certification (PPE) including but not limited to filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, half face masks and safety glasses is required to perform this position
Ability to work in temperature-controlled, cold and frozen, environments
