Position Description: The Entity Information Officer serves as the primary Information Services executive for Penn Medicine at Home and Rittenhouse campus. As a member of the Information Services organization, serves as the liaison between the entity and Corporate Information Services. Works closely with entity and health system senior leadership to ensure both the entity and health system goals / objectives receive the proper Information Services support.

Accountabilities:• Demonstrates broad and diverse healthcare information systems knowledge and skill in areas such as technology, clinical, financial and administrative applications. Leads and monitors activities within these areas to ensure effective and efficient operations.• Manage and direct entity-based End User Support, Site Managers and/or Clinical Engineering teams.• Works with other Information Services leaders, as well as vendor partners, to coordinate the delivery of business solutions.• Delivers service in a fashion that supports enterprise standards.• Participates in the development of corporate IS planning activities to support consistent utilization of technology and business processes throughout the enterprise.• Develops collaborative partnerships with entity leaders in order to enable enterprise and entity specific activities.• Follows up on requested service support and keeps entity leadership informed regarding project status.• Builds and leads a high performing entity support team focused on desktop support and/or clinical engineering.• Participates in standard Corporate IS meetings (i.e.: Project Intake, Technology Review .) to insure proper processes are utilized for project and/or new technology review.• Provides input for Corporate IS operational improvements.• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies and procedures.• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements: Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.• 7+ years of demonstrated leadership experience and executive presence in a complex healthcare environment required.

Required Skills and Abilities:• Excellent communication skills• Ability to interact with all levels of management and clinical staff• Ability to drive decisions• Strong presentation skills• Ability to quickly assess operational workflows and proactively offer change management guidance• Demonstrated leadership of technical teams• Ability to partner with senior leadership in developing business strategy• Ability to influence business decisions by presenting strong IS and leadership best practices• Technical acumen as it relates to network, desktop, clinical engineering and healthcare applications

Additional Information: As part of our COVID-19 response, this position may currently be offering partial or full remote work. However, in the near future this position will require full or partial on-site work.
