System Support Technician - Berwyn, PA - Full time perm $50-60KYou are a diverse and dynamic IT System Support Technician. This position plays a critical role in the ongoing success and growth of the company. This position reports directly to the VP of DevOps.The IT System Support Technician is responsible for performing all operational processes and procedures to support users and the end user computing environment.The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, self-directed and passionate about providing exceptional experiences for our employees. Essential Functions, Skills, and Knowledge• Handle IT related user requests, including hardware and software break/fix, user on/off boarding, application access requests etc.• Desktop Operating System management and maintenance.• Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, customer service, and accountability.• Responsible for gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information related to systems capabilities, end-user needs, audit, security, and infrastructure needs. • Demonstrates a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office 365.• Understanding of security strategy, implementation, and protocols.• Ability to work with various DevOps, and IT Operations management tools. • Responsible for documenting various IT processes and operations. • Recognizes improvement opportunities and effectively presents recommendations to stakeholders. • Work within the change control and release management process.• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.Education, Skills, and Experience• Bachelor's Degree in computer or information science or related experience preferred• The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of related experience as a Desktop Support technician or similar• Must be highly collaborative, respectful and productive working across a wide array of vendors, employees, leadership team, board members, and partners.• Strong decision-making and organizational skills.• Strong problem solving skills• Reliable, detail-oriented and highly motivated.• Knowledgeable and experienced enough to step right into a fast-paced work environment.Competencies• Understanding of various DevOps and Security tools such as IT Glue, ManageEngine, Jira, Confluence, Log360 and others.• Understanding of networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security mechanisms, proxies, firewalls & application delivery controllers.• Fortigate Appliance experience a plus.• Understanding and prevention of security risks, such as DDoS, Malware, and Viruses.
