ResponsibilitiesWorks with assigned client and the respective customer service manager to understand their reporting and data extraction requirements;Builds a plan to integrate custom client reporting requirements to a larger reporting and data lake platform initiative;Liaison between Data Analysts who create custom reports for specific clients and product management teams that shape long-term reporting and data lake platforms;Create a thorough documentation of requirements in VSTS;Build prototypes and conduct UX research and UI testing with end-users;Document process workflow and assist with solution design;Participates in testing the product before it is released to the client;Assist in triaging escalated system defects and/or providing clarification on defects and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve them;Enable implementation and support teams to implement and support new reports;Develop data models and requirements for data mapping and data loading processe;Develop subject matter expertise for the assigned reporting and service as an SME to key stakeholders.Review scoping documents and design documents across the relevant projects and evaluate whether the design aligns with meeting reporting and data lake needs;Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; andFulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a software business analyst for Business Analyst position and 5 years of experience for a Sr. Business Analysis position;Healthcare experience preferredPossesses excellent communication, organizational and observational skills;Proficient problem-solving skills with good judgment and decision making;Must be goal-oriented and focused;Work well as a member of a team;Experience with data management, data analysis and visualization tools;Familiarity with databases and SQL;Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, comfortable working with minimum direction;Adaptable to changing organizational requirements and priorities and supportive of a diverse work force;Ability to collaborate with others in diplomatic, tactful manner, while exercising sensitivity and discretion as needed;Advanced PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and other programs); andExcellent written and verbal communication skills.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedEducationBS or equivalent work experiencePhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentSedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time)Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forceFrequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motionsSubject to inside environmental conditionsTravel for this position will include up to 10% (usually for training purposes)Required Skills:BUSINESS ANALYSISDATA ANALYSISDATA MANAGEMENTDATA MAPPINGDOCUMENTATIONWe are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
