For this position, we're looking for someone who has led a team of analysts and developers with proven success in Point of Sale Systems in a grocery environment. - Provides subject matter expertise in the analysis, design and execution of strategic initiatives in the point of sale area.
- Develop and executes against the Roadmap for both hardware and software solutions
- Interfaces across domains and infrastructure in the execution of these projects. Works closely with the Finance business areas and ecommerce in the execution of projects
- Works with the Tech Lead and Architecture team to ensure solutions align to Strategy roadmap and adhere to architectural standards.
- Ensures architecture and security approval are received. Makes suggestion for innovation and continuous improvement of solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring all development is implemented on schedule and with quality.
- Ensures project executes on schedule according to project plan and oversees project financials and department expense budgets
- Mentors team on both technical responsibilities and communication with partners.
- Manage support team resolving level 2 Point of sale issues
- 5-7 years experience working in a technical role
- Experience in a management role.
- Passion for working with emerging technologies and developing innovative applications.
- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate using strong verbal, written and listening skills
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience managing budgets of $10M
- Retail Technology Point of Sale experience
- Experience managing budgets of $25M+
- Experience in Agile methodologies
