Our client in Greater Philadelphia is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent role by way of contract to hire.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to join a growing, fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support initiatives of the DevOps COE.

Position Description:

Helping drive the DevOps Strategic Roadmap
Participate in (ALM) Application Lifecycle Management processes for all new and existing client implementations
Support Legacy project migrations to ALM
Supporting Change Control processes
CI/CD adoption and utilization
Advise technical design and implementation of platforms as it pertains to DevOps and Site Reliability
DevOps technical solutions (Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, NuGet Feeds, etc)
Implementation and maintenance of Automated Configuration Management Systems
Support new and existing systems, automation scripts, applications, and infrastructure
Troubleshooting
Upgrading
Root cause analysis
Assist in development of application/software development practices
Working with PowerShell (they have custom-built tools and software in PowerShell)
Scripting and Coding
Some off-hours work required

Required Skills:

1+ year experience (systems, application, software development background or similar)
Knowledge of Microsoft stack
Knowledge of the at least 1 or more of the following:

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Agile software development principles
Web development frameworks and hosting platforms
Server and network configurations and maintenance
Team development software and automated testing tools
Database management systems

Bonus Skills:

Powershell - custom automation exp/scripting or similar
Linux
Software validation process in an FDA regulated environment
Knowledge of the at least 1 or more of the following:

Windows Server
Azure DevOps
C#
IIS- internal web hosting
Docker/Kubernetes
Automated Configuration Management (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell Desired State Configuration)
