AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Remediation group, specifically to support our Pittsburgh, PA office. We are seeking a candidate who is an excellent communicator and technically capable, with an awareness of relevant regulations. The successful candidate will work under the oversight of an experienced team of engineers and scientists on environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design and construction, and environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects. This position will involve field and office responsibilities with potential for growth.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Project Field and Office Support for Site Assessment and Remediation Projects.Perform field sampling activities and become proficient with field instrumentation and equipment.Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.Groundwater monitoring and sampling.Soil borings and monitoring well installation.Soil and sediment sampling, including logging and classification.Remediation system operation and maintenance.Analytical data analysis.Report preparation.Data summaries.Field sampling for soil, soil vapor and groundwater is required in a variety of environmental settings.
