Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Python Developer - Azurefor a CONTRACTassignment with one of our premier Healthcare Servicesclients in Conshohocken, PA. POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Under general direction of the Manager of Applications Development, responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of theInventory Insights application system.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver and maintain the back-end service layer for the for the Inventory Insights application software solution. This includes the cloud architecture, data flows, and API interfaces.
  • Develop custom software solution using Python/Django interfacing with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Databricks. (This is a hands-on development role).
  • Coordinate deliverables with technical team, review team deliverables to ensure quality standards are met, and advise team on best practices.
  • Coordinate application deployment to production and lower environments using Azure DevOps.
  • Advise stakeholders about the platform's technical capabilities and future directions.
  • Coordinate with scrum master, product owner, and business analysts to estimate, plan, and execute technical enhancements.
  • Support and resolve production bugs, performance, and system availability issues.
  • Coordinate data ingestion from external platforms.
  • Author and distribute clear documentation including reference architecture, integration guides, repeatable process flows, diagrams, etc.
  • Regularly demonstrate application deliverables and enhancements to stakeholders.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 5+ years experience in application development & technical implementation.
  • Python/Django: 3+ years API development.
  • SQL: Ability to craft and understand complex queries both for data ingestion and data analysis.
  • Azure DevOps: Hands on experience in developing CI/CD pipelines (both yaml and UI based).
  • Ability to communicate clearly to business stakeholders, in both verbal and written English.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
  • Experience with PySpark & Databricks.
  • Experience with pandas, numpy, or other data processing libraries.
  • Experience with Sklearn or other ML frameworks.
  • Experience with agile development processes.
