GENERAL SUMMARY: The Sr. SAP BASIS Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. Responsibilities include providing technical and service delivery support for existing and any new SAP services. This includes maintenance, implementing, configuring, monitoring, system optimization, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment, as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The Sr. SAP BASIS Administrator is also responsible for installations, system upgrades, enhancement packs and support packs. Responsible for designing and developing interfaces between SAP and external systems, including optimizing and analyzing performance issues. This includes SAP ECC, PI/PO and Solution Manager systems. Secondary responsibility is to perform SQL development in BackOffice application and work in BackOffice application. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor the SAP System for performance issues, optimize accordingly and meet defined resolution SLA's Monitor OS Space and Disk management Perform Client copy, System copy, DB restore. Responsible SAP installations and migrations, Starting / Stopping SAP instance Responsible for SAP Print Management Design, test and implement system landscape configuration and operations Develop Batch Job, controlling and all management operations Support all backup operations for SAP system Responsible for the Request and Transport Management Systems Perform SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs and kernel upgrades Research, provide guidance and implement SAP software corrections in SAP OSS Notes Applying SAP Add-Ons, Support Packages and enhancement packs. Responsible for OS level Security and Patch Monitoring and Management. Participates in the design and Execution of Disaster Recovery, high availability and systems management (latest on patches, DB / system backup, archiving) for all SAP landscapes. Performs daily, weekly and monthly monitoring, applying corrective measures and tuning as needed. Analytical skills to evaluate system performance, system health checks, and implementation of tuning improvements. Works with SAP team to implement system enhancements and interfaces. Works closely with other IT teams and vendors to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements. Secondary Responsibilities: Willingness to learn and work in BackOffice application. Analyze business requirements, reviews existing programs, defines the solution, and translates that into detailed programming designs and coding/configuring BackOffice application accordingly. In accordance with the NIST CSF and Hallmark Standards, ensure adherence to policies and processes to remain in compliance for maintenance, security continuous monitoring and recovery areas including Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Vulnerability & Patch Management, Data Security, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Basis tasks related to ECC, PI/PO and Solution manager. Expertise in SQL server Database is a must. Expertise in ABAP and Java stacks and windows OS environment is a must. Manage and ensure availability and performance of SAP systems including underlying databases and servers. Manage Production SAP landscapes Expertise in transport management of change across the landscape. Perform client copies of production data in to non-production systems. Apply OSS notes, support packages and enhancement packs. Manage SAP databases backup and restore Understand and manage disaster recovery systems in SQL and windows environment. Manage interfaces like Vertex, ALE Experience in RFC set up and configuration Knowledge of SAP Data Archiving preferred Knowledge of BackOffice application preferred JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Minimum of 10 years SAP Basis experience in ECC, PI/PO and Solution Manager 4 years college degree preferred Good verbal and written communications skills. Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work on simultaneous projects.
