- Responsible for mining quality (across the matrix - product, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers), warranty administration, global field services and commissioning and mining quality standards. This role is for an individual contributor so there will be no direct reports.
- MUST understand the ins and outs of high voltage power systems, controls, designing them, working in service or the field would be helpful, they will work with high voltage systems up to 2400 volts. This person would be in a role that is the technical face of the quality issues in the field.
- Provide technical & program leadership for cross functional team to complete reliability growth projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing throughout fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
- Support field issue resolution with cross functional team.
- Identify quality issues and engage quality leadership to determine root cause and drive resolution.
- Manufacturing Instruction Development Support and Review
- Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, and global engineering.
- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization.
- Mentor and develop less experienced personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related Engineering field
- Minimum 5 years experience in high voltage controls systems and electronics, and quality control
- Propulsion and mining experience preferred.
- Broad knowledge in electronics design and tradeoffs
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes & procedures
- Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification or other equivalent quality certification preferred.
- Strong electrical/controls background
- Ability to drive projects to completion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customer.
