Our client, a home mortgage company, is seeking a UI/UX Designer

Location: Fort Washington, PA

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

-Balance design objectives with the user and business in mind and offer creative options along the way. Continuously follow visual design trends and know when and how to use them in your projects for portals and internal applications

-Design information architectures, taxonomies, and wireframes that turn messy, disorganized and often very complex portals and internal applications into clear, navigable, and valuable applications for business users.

-Own a variety of activities throughout a project lifecycle, including content audits, heuristic reviews, and user research via interviews, and user tests.

-Create engaging, usable, and effective design solutions to achieve user-focused goals and business objectives.

-Familiarity with leading and/or assisting in workshops and brainstorming sessions with internal team members to define requirements and conceptual approaches.

-Partner closely with Business System Analysts, business users, and Developers to translate business and users' goals into elegant and practical experiences.

-Use best practices and strong foundational standards related to human centered design and human factors.

-Use participatory and iterative design techniques, including usability testing, and other forms of user discovery.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-5 to 9 years of experience designing for web and mobile portals and internal applications

-Experience working on heavily trafficked web and mobile applications.

-5+ years of design experience focused on unifying UI and UX design across multiple internal applications, including developing and maintaining pattern libraries

-Experience that showcases your conceptual design skills and demonstrates originality, innovation, and strong problem-solving skills

-Experience with Adobe suite, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, responsive web frameworks and open source CMS's like Umbraco.

-Team player and ability to accept feedback from users, business analysts, developers, and project managers.

-Broad-thinking and an ability to offer a variety of creative design solutions

-Experience developing and running design-focused sessions

-Ability to communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale, both verbally and visually to internal teams and clients

-Ability to provide expertise and mentorship to others

-Ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
