THE POSITION

Take the next step in your career by auditing and reporting financial data with our team!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will audit statutory compliance for a variety of restricted credit programs and participate in the preparation of various financial reports for the legislature, other agencies, or the general public. Work involves analyzing corporate leger account transactions, evaluating the accuracy and efficiency of accounting methods and procedures, and maintaining written narratives of division operating procedures, all with an emphasis on identifying errors with the original application of transitions. You will also have the opportunity to provide recommendations to your immediate supervisor to ensure reliability of the processes and the integrity of the data.Additional responsibilities include serving as liaison to other divisions, bureaus, and agencies to establish efficient and accurate workflow procedures regarding new or existing restricted credit programs, as well as responding to inquiries from the Bureau of Enforcement and Taxpayer Assistance regarding delinquent or potentially delinquent accounts and communicating resources that are available to taxpayers in order to promote efficient and effective taxpayer service. Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 60-minute lunch or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, Monday - Friday.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In office training may be required. Full-time telework status employees are required to work in-office once per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting; or
One year as a Fiscal Technician, and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
One year as a Financial Programs Trainee; or
Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:
