The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is looking for self-motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal skills to operate and manage our reception area. The Client and Community Service Representatives are responsible for directing all incoming calls in a courteous manner; providing relevant information about the YWCA and its programs including community referrals to interested parties; and using trained protocol to answer and direct Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence hotline calls and/or walk-in clients.
Requirements include:
> High school diploma or equivalent
> 1-2 years' experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
> Strong interpersonal, communication, listening and de-escalation skills
> Ability to function independently; maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
> Ability to complete and pass background checks, including PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History and FBI
Fingerprinting
Previous human services experience is helpful but not required. Full-time position hours: M-F 4 pm to midnight. Part-time shifts/hours: Friday/Saturday evening: Midnight to 8 am. We are also looking for part-time floater position to fill in where necessary; could be daylight, evening or overnight hours. Must have the flexibility and willingness to pick up additional hours during peak times and/or holidays.
