Join Milton Hershey School as a Part-Time Hairstylist/Braider Empower Students Through Your Expertise!Milton Hershey School (MHS), a world-renowned private residential school serving over 2,200 students from Pre-K through 12th grade, is seeking skilled and compassionate Hairstylists/Braiders to join our team at Spartan Styles, the on-campus hair salon. This is a unique opportunity to use your talents to support the well-being and confidence of students from diverse backgrounds. As a Hairstylist/Braider at MHS, you will demonstrate:Technical Proficiency: Skilled in a wide range of hair services including washing, blow drying, braiding (cornrows, box braids, French braids, feed-in braids), twists/coils (comb, two-strand, locs/dreads), re-twisting, and haircuts (scissor and clipper). Cultural Competence: Experience working with multi-textured and multicultural hair types, with sensitivity to the unique grooming needs of children and youth. Instructional Ability: Educate students on personal grooming and hygiene practices to promote healthy hair care habits. Professionalism: Maintain a polished demeanor, punctuality, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with a diverse team and interact respectfully with students, staff, and families.
