Job Description

As Continuous Improvement Manager you'll be responsible for implementing, training and deploying LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives as assigned and dictated by business need.

  • Organize and facilitate kaizen / rapid improvement events. Develop metrics and return on investment (ROI) before recommending projects to determine business expectations. Analyze realization of measurements upon completion.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deploy standard operating procedures and process improvements.
  • Lead and facilitate training in LEAN principles for the organization. Develop standard process improvement tools for departments to utilize in process improvement efforts
  • Analyze highly complex production and processes. Partner with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities, present ideas, and make recommendations based upon analysis to further business goals. Perform other related duties as required or requested.
  • Present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized and diplomatic manner; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.
  • Dealopenly and honestly with people in all levels of the organization while building credibility and maintaining trust. Exhibitempathy and sensitivity for the needs of others. Is perceived by others as being helpful and supportive.
  • Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results. Prioritize multiple activities and projects.

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in quality project management or Business Improvement projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification, Six Sigma or Lean certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes and lead stakeholders through planning and execution of improvements with measurable results.
  • Ability to interact and participate effectively in a team environment; actively listen, confront issues and provide feedback to others on the team as well as internal and external customers, in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Work history demonstrating initiative to solve problems with creative solutions.
  • Demonstratethe ability to function independently; resolve problems without direction.

Candidates must be willing and able to travel domestically via commercial airline and automobile approximately 50% of the time
