DescriptionEllwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer and remanufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.

Today, ECG has four facilities located throughout PA. We are currently seeking a full-time Polisher position at Ellwood National Crankshaft Services in Hermitage, PA. This non-exempt position may be required to work rotating shifts, 12-hour schedules and overtime as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED

Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities

Familiar with general computer applications

Excellent organizational skills

Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Thorough understanding of manufacturing and manufacturing processes

Ability to use various measuring instruments, including micrometers and snap gauges

Ability to read blueprints

Prior machining ability preferred but not necessary

Mechanical ability a plus

Strong math skills

Ability to work well with a team and independently

Detailed oriented and ability to organize and prioritize

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Measure and prepare final dimensions of finished crankshafts.

Identify and make required adjustments with the correct abrasive material to bring the crankshaft to final product dimension and finish, including lapping, belt polishing, benching, and hand working.

Loads and unloads machine with aid of an overhead crane.

Install counterweights as needed.

Lubricates machines, checks and fills reservoirs, etc. on a daily basis.

Operates spray booth, as needed.

Maintains working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Reports defective material to inspection immediately.

Observes all safety rules and regulations.

Perform other duties as deemed necessary
