The Sr Analyst, Sales and Trade Planning will be a critical cross functional business partner on Hersheys Customer Planning and Trade Management system (PlanEx). The Sr Analyst will collaborate with Sales to drive customer planning capabilities, optimize CSE planning/efficiency, and stage the system for planning. This role operates at the center of, identifying opportunities in sales and trade forecasting as well as promotion optimization through PlanEx. The position ensures PlanEx system and reports are accurate, maintained, and supports the critical needs of CSEs and other internal functions. The Sr Analyst also gains broad visibility through cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Sales Planning, Sales Finance, Demand Planning and SRGM Duties and Responsibilities: 40%- Collaborate with Sales/CSE to drive customer planning capabilities, provide sales and trade insights and optimize customer plans and planning efficiency. Provide everyday support to Sales and cross functional departments to ensure users are delivering high quality customer plans and operating efficiently in the system. Through analysis of Customer plans, derive insights to optimize Customer Planning results, drive sales and trade spend accuracy and improve the quality of plans. Leverage analytics to drive CSE action via push reporting and CSE consultation. Through analysis and validations, ensure PlanEx reports and data feeds are accurate, maintained and supporting the critical needs of the user base. 25%- Through interaction and support of user base, assist in ongoing system development and management. Working crossfunctionally, maintain necessary data structures (i.e. IRI/Customer mappings, lags, guardrails, VCMs, Customer hierarchies) and stage the system to support annual Customer Planning. Takes a key role in development of new features and engage cross functionally to ensure successful implementation and prioritization of developmental activities. Provide analytical support, utilizing systems knowledge and interrelationships with other processes and data needs within the company, providing insights and business requirements to crossfunctional resources. 25%-Work with Information Systems team, including monitoring batch job success/communicating issues, and doing support ticket analysis and triage. Acts as second line support in Incident/Issue identification. Work with user base to trouble shoot planning barriers, diagnose if user error or system defect and address accordingly to ensure effective planning resumes. 10%- Trade analysis, special projects and ad-hoc reporting as requested by Sales and Sales Planning leadership Dimensions: Describe the scope of the position in terms of appropriate measures (personnel supervised, budgets, assets, sales, units processed, calls handled, etc.) Dimension ( Units, Employees) Analytical, technical and planning support for U.S. PlanEx (trade system) Approx. m Interaction with CSEs and customer Team Leads On-going communication Scope of reporting and analysis 100% of U.S. business, some interaction with Canada and Mexico Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: Include only required physical and/or mental abilities and special criteria (heavy lifting, driver's license requirement, overtime, special work hours, etc.). Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance or emphasis, Computer Science or equivalent Experience: 2-5 years finance experience supporting sales/marketing organization.
