Company located in Horsham, PA is looking for a Senior Linux/AWS Administrator. This is a consultant position. There may be a possibility for a full-time role, but that is not guaranteed. Please see the job responsibilities, required experience and skills we are looking for. We are currently working in a remote environment.

This role is only remote during Covid.

Position Overview

This is a system administration position that performs both planning and hands-on technical work for the Enterprise Technology Services team. We are a small, solid group looking to speed up our migration to the latest AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

Administration of and planning for:

Ansible-based Linux Systems administration

Backup and Recovery

Clustering and Cloud Technologies

Security

Virtualization

Performance and Optimization

Monitoring

Collaborate with application development teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver high quality solutions

Advise the development teams on the best way to convert their existing stacks to AWS

Support the platform deployments for new applications as they are created (machine learning, statement processing, etc)

Be the expert that can dive in, analyze, and fix problems with AWS services

Manage multiple projects, providing deliverables in a timely fashion

Participate in on-call rotation

Complies with all company and site policies and procedures

Remains current in profession and industry trends

Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements

Performs other duties as assigned

Experience

3+ years of experience administrating Linux systems in an enterprise environment (RHEL/CentOS preferred)

3+ years working with cloud admin experience (EC2, IAM, Cloudformation, etc)

Git experience (or similar version control system) required

Anisble playbook development experience

Experience with building/automating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Jira, BitBucket)

Advanced understanding of Linux including user, network, storage, memory, and security components

Detailed understanding of TCP/IP required

Experience with Bash scripting required

Experience with Python, and/or Ruby scripting required

Experience with load balancing/failover technologies required; Haproxy is preferred

Experience with virtualization is required; VMware ESXi is preferred

BS in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Highly motivated, self-starter that has a strong desire to learn

Advanced understanding of Linux including user, network, storage, memory, and security components

strong troubleshooting skills are required

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks

Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
