SummaryOur technology smooths the collection, transformation, submission and analysis of regulatory data for manufacturers and distributors of medical device and drug products, and for those who support them in consulting and IT role. Growth within the client Tech team means that we are looking for a Software Engineer. You are passionate about technology and eager to learn, grow and develop in this supportive, collaborative team transforming our internal tools managing the US patent processing platform. Working in conjunction with our data science team, your focus will be on developing tools which will enhance the patent process through automation. You’ll be gaining hands on experience with new AI (Artificial Intelligence) and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies, with an emphasis on Computer Vision which will open up further opportunities for career growth.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Kanban, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • Complete bug fixes.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable Software Engineering experience in C#, SQL AND .Net.
  • BS in Engineering / Computer Science OR equivalent experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
  • Understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Ability to work with complex data models.
  • Experience with Machine learning.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools e.g. Azure DevOps / Jenkins.
  • Familiarity of industry best practices e.g. code coverage.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
