King of Prussia, PA, is looking for professionals to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on fulfilling the needs of its customers. As

Application Engineer, you will be is a trusted technical advisor to customers, engaging with them directly. You will ensure a positive experience by providing product and application support for industrial automation technology. You will promote the company's product portfolio to solve customer issues utilizing your product expertise and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide customer technical support by phone, web chat, video conference and email
  • Provide customer quotations based on application evaluation and discussion
  • Provide general customer support as needed (account set up, ordering, order tracking, etc.)
  • Document call activity and quotations in CRM tool
  • Promote our products to customers
  • Identify and categorize product accessories (website)
  • Identify potential suppliers and product technologies
  • Write application whitepapers, FAQs, and offer technical advice to industry publication questions
  • Maintain advanced technical knowledge on all of our product categories and brands
  • Proactively assist in improving customer support processes
  • Wire and configure products for test lab (evaluation and customer support)
  • Maintain knowledge of industry agency approvals (UL, IEC, CSA, CE, etc.)
  • Occasional planned travel to suppliers and trade fairs for education and training
  • Support all business areas as needed

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Two or Four-year degree in electrical engineering/technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of industrial automation experience (food, packaging, and/or material handling preferred)
  • Proficiencies in PLCs/Sensors/Networks/Industrial controls, machine safety, and wiring practices
  • Ability to work and interpret data independently
  • Factory and/or process automation experience is highly valued
  • Effective analytics capabilities to assess and troubleshoot issues remotely
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft office, CRM software)
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
