JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Ericsson OEM experience needed
  • Deep knowledge of parameters, features and KPIs in 4G or 5G Technology
  • Clear understanding of LTE-NR Fundamental, Concepts and procedures i.e. Call flow etc.
  • Monitor the on-air performance of the Small Cell and publish performance updates at 2-hour intervals for the first 48 hours and daily for 7 days thereafter.
  • Perform initial site level optimization to ensure the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are within defined thresholds.
  • After 2 weeks, produce a Small Cell Performance Report documenting the on-air performance of the Small Cell within the cluster composed of the Small Cell and its Top 5 handover neighbors.
  • Evaluate performance in terms of the New Node Performance Dashboard, (NNP), thresholds and recommend changes until new node meets NNP passing criteria. Request drive test if required.
  • Create drive route based upon market criteria.
  • Process Drive log files and create task ID in tool of record, (currently Actix).
  • Complete drive test analysis to ensure the main Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Throughput are within Telecommunication defined thresholds.
  • Monitor post-performance and fine-tune as required to meet NNP minimum guidelines.
  • Provide analyze internal eNB/gNB, UE logs analysis for quick troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Experience with 5G NSA/SA deployments from global markets with a focus on improving the performance and user experience with in-depth understanding of features and parameters
  • Leading the field testing with tools - TEMS, route planning, designing test cases (mobility / stationary) and analyzing the output of field testing
  • Experience proposing pre or post-launch Optimization changes and tracking improvements towards target KPIs/SLAs, local and global parameter changes and their impact
  • Capture and Review Baseline KPI's for the Site and/or Cluster to identify KPIs that don't meet KPI Targets and Thresholds.
  • Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems.
  • Identify Worst KPI Offenders – Cells or Sites in cluster and then perform a deep dive RCA to troubleshoot and fix the issue – make relevant Parameter Changes ( E-tilt/M-tilt, Power, Idle and Connected Mode Parameter Changes,
  • MIMO Parameters, Power Control Parameters, Traffic Balance related parameter changes etc )
  • Performs RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project managers guidance.
  • Experience working on any OEMs RAN system PM counters and validation of RF performance KPI formulas
  • Must be able to perform 5G-NR network performance optimization and improve network KPIs using innovative approach
  • Analyze data for coverage, interference, handover, and performance issues and provide recommendations for network health improvement
  • Prior experience with 5G/LTE parameters, KPI counters, Operational Performance Indicator (OPI) counters, and associated call scenarios
  • Implementation of new features and tuning 5G/4G (LTE) radio network parameters.
  • Review RFDS and Design Data – CIQ and compare it against OSS data.
  • RF Drive /Geo-Located Data Analysis (if available) and providing RF Recommendations – E-tilt/M-tilt, Power, Idle and Connected Mode Parameter Changes, Azimuth Changes etc
  • Perform Parameter changes on OSS – related to Gold Standard Alignment or Optimization Related parameter Changes.
