What is Viral Clearance?Biopharmaceutical products are susceptible to contamination from virus. Viral clearance studies are an important step performed to evaluate the capability of the manufacturing process to remove and/or inactivate virus. Since every product is different, each product has a different purification process, and therefore each viral clearance study is unique!Employee Responsibilities:Perform a wide range of analyses (routine and non-routine) primarily but not limited to the molecular, cell biology, and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services, including AKTA, cell culturing, plaque assays, protein purification, anion exchange (AEX), cation exchange (CEX), and virus production.Review and evaluate raw data for acceptabilitySet up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
