Job Description
Our Technical Sample Management Team is able to work seamlessly with a cross-discipline of team of scientists, technical management, sample administration, and support groups.
This position will apply their Raw Materials knowledge and provide technical leadership support to lead and manage a team of individuals. The position also requires time spent performing sample auditing, interpreting analytical laboratory methods, and managing technical information within a LIMS system.
Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create, manage, and drive a positive, inclusive, success-oriented, high performing team
- Develop strategies for streamlining work flow to improve on-time delivery
- Provide leadership support during troubleshooting
- Track and monitor team performance using internal and external metrics
- Implement employee development opportunities including career, leadership, and personal growth
- Identify, resolve, and/or escalate personnel problems, as needed
- Approve timecards and PTO
- Collaborate with fellow leadership
Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sample auditing – including a formal review of all protocols, specifications, methods, and other documents submitted or used by a project within a LIMS system
- Manage technical information with a LIMS system relating to Sample Management
- Establish and maintain within a LIMS system for use by the Bio/Pharmaceutical division, based on information found within analytical methods and group work aids
- Interpret analytical laboratory methods and other available information resources to configure and create tests and test lists within LIMS as appropriate for laboratory use and reporting requirements
- Communicate directly with laboratory technical contacts to determine the appropriate test configurations
- Manage the maintenance of tests and test lists to support methodology updates
- Provide Sample Entry instructions to Sample Administration for incoming samples or conduct Pre-Registration for incoming samples
- Communicate with Project Management and Technical groups as necessary to complete assignments
- Communication of status updates to direct supervisor

- Excellent communication (written and oral)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other related degree concentration with 1 to 2+ years of experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 2p.m.-10p.m., with overtime as needed.
